Instructor Background

My training started in 1994 at the age of ten years old at Bromsgrove Tae Kwon Do Club under Mr Rob Wilcox 2nd Dan. I obtained the level of Red tag: then in in 1999 my current instructor Mr Terry Davis 2nd Dan took over Bromsgrove Tae Kwon Do. Under his instruction I have gained my Blackbelt then shortly after was promoted to his assistant instructor. The beginning of 2006 I took over instructing at Stourport Tae Kwon Do and hope to progress onto my Second Dan in 2007. I feel fortunate that through my present instructor I have been introduced to the teachings and experience from different styles that he has absorbed. Late in 2006 I travelled to Australia to train with some of their National Tae Kwon Do team to further my own experiences in Tae Kwon Do.

A bit about the TAGB

The Tae Kwon Do Association of Great Britain (TAGB) is a nationally recognised Tae Kwon Do organisation in this country. It was formed in 1983 and has since become the founding member of the British Tae Kwon Do Council (BTC) which is recognised by the United Kingdom Sports Council.

TAGB instructors are highly qualified, accredited individuals with many years' experience in teaching mixed classes which often include young children and disability groups. Training in Tae Kwon Do can start at any age. TAGB members start as young as five and recently one of our members gained his fifth dan black belt on his 70th birthday!

A bit about Tae Kwon Do International

The seeds for Tae Kwon Do International were first sown during the 2nd Open World Championships in 1991 when 21 countries declared their intention to join the Tae Kwon Do Association of Great Britain (TAGB) to form an international body able to rise above political differences, look after its members on a global scale but without interfering at a national level, and capable of promoting Tae Kwon Do for the mutual benefit of all those organisations actively involved in its propagation and practise
